Rolling Over

As of yesterday Audrey began rolling completely over-- from back to tummy. She does it in a matter of a second. Somehow this developmental milestone isn't exciting like I thought it would be. Maybe mixed with the emotions of Melody leaving for Kindergarten in 2 weeks, I feel like my baby is growing up too fast :( Plus, she keeps getting herself stuck in the crib and this makes her very angry. All day she screams for mama to come rescue her and distracts herself from sleeping during naps. Hmmm....just when I thought things were going so smoothly and she had a great routine going. For the past few months Audrey has been the baby who just quietly drifts off to sleep (with some exceptions) and wakes up happy. Now she's the baby who screams because she is stuck and then gets so exhausted because she's not getting her sleep. Now I've got a new parenting dilemma to figure out...

  1. Where are the bumper pads ? Are you uncomfortable having them there since she is rolling over ?

    1. There is an increased risk of SIDS with bumper pads. Decided not to use them until after she is 1. Although, it's not going too well in the crib...

  2. Yeah, I was thinking that may be the reason. Maybe she will learn how to get "unstuck".
