The children have to read four hours and do three learning activities to earn a reward for each level of the program. There are three levels. After the first level (4 hours of reading and 3 activities), they each get a booklet with lots of local free opportunities-- Zoo admission, swimming pool admission, ice skating, etc. I think this will keep us busy this summer!! Harmony is off to a jump start-- school ends today and she started her summer reading program yesterday. She is reading Little House on the Prairie. As a family, we are reading Swiss Family Robinson...which has been a fun adventure!
My girls LOVED doing that! In fact, Kathleen does the adult one now! We loved summer reading. Reading is fun!
